Dust & Breath's Weekly Top 5

This week for some odd reason, I found myself listening to music slightly more than I usually do. I threw on some vinyls when I came home from work and even purged some old spotify playlists. So with that being said, I definitely had music in mind when picking this week's top 5. Kick back and enjoy.

1. Kanye West's Leaked Songs

Earlier this week YE found himself victim to another celebrity leak scandal. Music that West made with featured artists such as Migos, A$AP Rocky, and Young Thug surfaced. The two songs that leaked are titled “Hold Tight” and “Euro (Switch Hands)”. While this music surfacing this week was a shock, it's not the first time Mr. West has been a victim, Check out this article by Complex on his leak history, here.

2. One Love Manchester Highlights

It's safe to say that the past few weeks have been nothing short of tragic and heart breaking for England and the rest of the world. Ariana Grande’s “One Love Manchester” benefit concert was an awesome picture of hope and unity for the world to see.  An article in Time, here, stated that the benefit raised a total of 13 Million dollars to aid the victims of the attack. Two of my favorite speeches of the night were given by Katy Perry and Justin Bieber. Before her performance with a gorgeous sunset in the background KP said “It’s not always easy to choose love, right? Especially in moments like this it can be difficult. But love conquers fear and love conquers hate. And this love that you choose will give you strength.” Bieber told fans “God is good in the midst of darkness. God is good in the midst of evil. God is in the midst no matter what is happening in the world, God is in the midst, and HE loves you and HE is here for you.

3. Jay-Z's Instagram Tips

This week I found myself questioning if every photo I have ever seen of Jay-Z happy was a lie. Jay-Z and Kevin Hart wanted to take a photo together at game one of the NBA Finals. What you might not know from simply seeing this ‘candid’ is that it's completely posed. Mr. Carter said “take a picture while we’re talking” and thus the infamous photo was made. Looks like we aren’t the only ones who post not so candid candids to our IG feeds. Check out a clip of the incident, here

4. Ed Sheeran's Carpool Karaoke

James Corden's guest to sit in the carpool karaoke hot seat this week was none other than the creator of hit album ‘Divide’ Ed Sheeran himself. The two spent time cruising around West Hollywood while singing some of Sheeran's best hits and talking about his personal life. I would have to say the most shocking moment for me was hearing that Sheeran does not own a phone, and that the only way to reach him is via email. Watch the video, here.

5. Apple's Homepod

This week at WWDC Apple made a plethora of exciting announcements like a new Mac, IOS 11, and the subject of this point, the Homepod, here. At first, I initially wanted to just glance over this announcement and move onto the rest. However, I think I might find myself in line for a Homepod come December. This reinvented speaker has amazing features like being able to analyze a room and know where to project its sound, has Siri pick up your voice from across the room, analyzes your taste in music, and can be paired with multiple pods for life like sound. Simply said, this might be the best way to listen to the curated playlists our guy Noah makes for all of you to enjoy.
