Here it is fam, weekend well.
1. Apple Decade
This tuesday, Apple had their annual keynote event, and as always it did not disappoint. This time around Apple announced 3 new iPhones. In honor of the 10 year release of the first iPhone they are naming the newest model the “iPhone X”. This model has made the home button obsolete, featuring a edge to edge 5.8 inch super retina screen along with face id. They also released a new iPhone 8 and an iPhone 8 Plus that feature wireless charging and durable glass on both sides. Head over to Apple.com to preorder one now.
2. Hand in Hand
Earlier this week Hollywood's biggest celebrities came together to host the Hand in Hand telethon fundraiser. People like Oprah, Sofia Vergara, Nicki Minaj, Gwen Stefani and Justin Bieber were taking pledge calls. A prodigious number of celebs felt the need to respond to the call to action by donating their time and voices to help with the long road to recovery for victims of Hurricane Harvey + Irma. All in all the event was able to raise 44 Million dollars that will go towards charities that provide relief.
3. Super Far
After ending the first part of their tour LANY came back to the US and blessed us with a music video for their song “Super Far”. Playing off the saying “Boys Can’t Dance” the video is shot in a very clean way making good use of color. Give our guys a view, here.
4. Riverdale’s Coming Back
A trailer for Season 2 of Riverdale was released early this week, here, and I am already left with sooo many questions. The first one being “Is it October yet?!” Riverdale looks like it's taking a darker turn as this trailer starts with the cliffhanger from Season 1 and hints at a bunch of different twists. If you have still haven’t seen it, you have until October 11 to do so.
5. Harry Styles in the Live Lounge
I stumbled upon a few videos of Harry Styles in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge this week thanks to good ole’ Youtube. Styles has taken a bit of a break after releasing his album, it's good to see him making headlines again. Ease into the weekend by listening to him cover Fleetwood Mac's ‘The Chain’, here. These are pretty big shoes to fill, but I personally think Harry did the song justice.
