Dust & Breath Weekly Top 5

Summer is in full swing and I hope you are all thriving, here are 5 things that happened this week that I felt were worth your time. P.S. Don’t forget to call your dad and tell him thanks for being awesome on Sunday.

The time has come for Donald Glover to leave his iconic musical alter ego in the past. After Childish Gambino's set finished two weekends ago at the Governors Ball festival he alluded to the end of his era. He stated “I’ll see you for the last Gambino album.” In an interview he said that he no longer felt the need for the name and that he was afraid of it becoming to redundant.

Monday Night the Warriors became Champions yet again beating out the Cleveland Cavaliers in five games during their third straight NBA Finals.  Check out a full game 5 highlights reel, here.

Lorde (which is short for Ella Marija Lani Yelich- O’connor) released her sophomore album “Melodrama” today. This album has been long awaited and I couldn’t be more prepared for it to come. All I can say is head over to apple music or spotify now and let the album speak for itself, you won’t regret it fam.

Last friday Katy Perry released her album ‘Witness’ and did a phenomenal job at marketing her album. She went live for four days straight on youtube, and while this sounds like a bad loss in what are the odds KP did a plethora of cool things like cooking with Gordon Ramsay, Hashing out her infamous T - Swift beef, and having an amazingly deep and candid therapy session. This felt like a modern take on “The Truman Show” with a lot of great guests.  Check out the Witness Live Stream, here.

Earlier this week Abel himself took to instagram to announce the highly sought after second phase of his tour “Starboy Legend of the Fall.” Pre sale for this arena tour has started so start saving every penny because this is a show you do not want to miss. For a list of dates check out his instagram @theweeknd and while you’re phones out head over to youtube and check out his new music video for ‘Secrets’ that came out this week, here.
