Dust & Breath's Weekly Top 5

This week I wanted to highlight 5 things that happened in the mess of celebrities, social media, and trends we call pop culture. Here are a few of the things that happened that I felt were worth mentioning.

Incase you haven’t heard by now, Harry Styles (former 1D member) released his first solo album “Harry Styles.” Personally I think it’s a little odd to name an album after yourself but hey if my album was #1 on the Billboard top 200 I would too. Honestly, when I first heard everyone talking about his music I didn’t understand the hype. However, after giving his album a shot I have shamelessly jumped on the bandwagon. Styles has recently been receiving a lot of media coverage, Check out his Carpool Karaoke, here, and his ‘Landslide’ Duet with Stevie Nicks, here.

The 2017 Billboard Music Awards were held Sunday in Las Vegas. The show had many mentionable moments, like Miley Cyrus performing a raw and emotional version of her new single ‘Malibu,” as well as many great acceptance speeches. Although, the biggest moment of the evening goes to Drake hands down. Drake dominated the night by taking home 13 Billboard Music awards, one more time that's 13 awards. Drake beat out Adele for the record of most awards won at a show, as she had won 12 awards back in 2012.  Catch Drakes amazing performance from the Bellagio Water Fountains, here

As I was perusing through Twitter this week I came across a photo of four guys wearing what appeared to be rompers. My first reaction was to giggle as I assumed it was a meme. Although, after two seconds on Google I found out that these are 100% legit. ACED Design is currently crowd funding on Kickstarter, so if this is something you and your squad want to invest in check them out, here. Unfortunately, I'll have to sit this one out.

Monday night the Warriors played the Spurs at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, and came out on top with a final score of 129-115 Warriors.  While Tuesday the Cavaliers took the lead against the celtics with a 112-99 Win. Check out a video recap of this game, here.

Last week, it was announced that beloved Saturday Night Live cast members Vanessa Bayer (7 years on cast) and Bobby Moynihan (9 years on cast) would be leaving. The two share a combined 16 years on the show and have been the leads of many amazing sketches that have provided me with a prodigious amount of laughs. Shortly after, multiple outlets reported that Sasheer Zamata ( 4 years on cast) was also leaving. With that being said if you consider yourself hilarious send your resume to SNL because they might be looking for new cast members.
