Dust & Breath Weekly Top 5

Happy Friday Fam, Here's 5 things that happened in pop culture this week.

P.S. thanks for not giving these articles up for lent.

1. YEEZY Season 6 x Times Square

Our guy Kanye West has made it to the top 5 yet again. This weekend Kanye’s campaign for his latest collection Yeezy Season 6 hit Times Square. All of the social media ads were sprawled across the huge screens of one of Manhattan's biggest attractions. I was blessed enough to see it in the flesh, and it was honestly quite the site. Check out the pictures, here.

2. Black Panther Dominates

If you haven’t seen Black Panther yet, stop reading this and go watch it. Seriously though, make that a top priority this weekend. The film brought in a humble 242 Million dollars in its opening weekend, making it the biggest standalone superhero launch of all time. The films soundtrack also took the number one spot on the Billboard 200 this weekend. Without a doubt, this film is taking America by storm. Grab a friend and go see it if you haven’t already!

3. Fergie Fails

Fergie is perhaps one of the biggest trends on Twitter right now, the Double Dutchess performed the national anthem at the All Star game. Lets just say her performance was anything but an all star performance. She has since released a statement saying that she loves taking risks artistically and is aware it didn’t work out how she would’ve liked it too. Hats off to her for taking the risk and admitting it didn’t pan out. Watch the performance for yourself, here.

4. The Incredibles Sneak Peek

Pixar has given us a sneak peak at the long awaited incredibles sequel. The film is set to arrive in theaters on June 15th, go ahead and check out a clip, here, while you wait for summer to roll around.

5. Jurassic World 3

Yet another film was announced this week, Jurassic World 3. However, you’re going to be awaiting around just a bit longer to see another Jurassic movie. The film is set to hit theaters on June 11th, 2021. Check out the announcement on Jurassic World's Instagram, here.
