Whether this was your first week back at school or another week in and out of the office, I hope you take the time to kick back and read about 5 thrilling things that happened in the world of Pop Culture this Week. Weekend well fellas.

1. Golden Globes 2018

Without a doubt this years Golden Globes will be remembered for years to come. In a very heightened awards season there were plenty of highlights from the awards show regarding the recent #TimesUp movement. This initiative encouraged attendees to wear black to stand in solidarity with all of the women who face harassment and discrimination within the workplace, not just in Hollywood but Globally. Perhaps one of the most newsworthy moments of the evening was Oprahs acceptance speech for the Cecil B. Demille award. See her full acceptance speech, here.

2. Justin Timberlake

Our guy Justin Timberlake has recently announced that he will be coming back with new music in early February. He announced his new album titled “Man of the Woods” which is set to release February 2nd. In the meantime you can head over to Apple Music or Spotify to hear his new single “Filthy”.

3. Game of Thrones

Looks like those of you who have patiently been awaiting the return of GOT are going to have to hang tight for just a bit longer than expected. HBO confirmed that Game of Thrones will not return to the air until 2019. They stated that the eigth and final season will span across six episodes which will be aired in 2019, although a clear timeline has yet to be released.

4. Kanye Calls Sick Fan

Earlier this week a fan took to twitter to let the platform know that Kanye had taken the time to call a big fan of his who was battling cancer. Ye was able to speak to the fan and rap over the phone. A few days later the fan tweeted at Kim Kardashian saying that the fan had sadly lost their battle to cancer, to which Kim said they would be praying for the family. Check it out, here.  

5. E! Responds to Catt Sadler's Departure

After Will and Grace star Debra Messing called out E! In her on air red carpet interview with Giuliana Rancic, an exec from E! Put the pen to paper to share their stance on Miss Sadlers departure. Execs stated that she was paid much less than her male counterpart because they carried different roles. While there is still much room for debate check out the interview for yourself, here.
